A win for disclosure and transparency for robocalls? I think so.
This is the first time that I've seen this by a national party. Full disclosure of who is paying for a robocall at the START of the phone call rather than only at the END (if at all).
This is an interesting development and may mean that the NRCC (GOP) has read the Robocall Privacy Act (S.1077) which requires such disclosure (but has not been passed yet) and has decided to get ahead of the curve and implement some of the regulations before the bill has been passed.
If this is the case, the National Political Do Not Contact Registry commends the NRCC for fully disclosing who is making and paying for robocalls at the START of the phone call.
Thank you NRCC.
