No surprise here, the Tweet of the Day was from @Mashable about how Twitter will impact Blog design and user interaction.
The Tweet:
- RT @brett: @mashable - 10 ways twitter will change blog design in 2009 #IsCool (I Like #3) http://ow.ly/27w
My favorities:
3. TweetThis
Some bloggers will ditch catch-all social networking plugins AddThis and ShareThis and just use TweetThis, finding this to be the most effective way of sharing new links online. Watch Twitter move up into the first tab of the ShareThis plugin.
9. TwitterRolls
In addition to blog rolls, bloggers will list their favorite tweeters and optionally a short note on why they’re worth following to help others discover new tweeters.
My Comments:
- When I go to a blog now the first thing I look for is the "follow me on Twitter" badge / widget. I tend to subscribe to the Twitter Follow vs. RSS these days.
- The ability to quickly Tweet a comment from a blog entry is very cool and few Blogs have that feature. I believe The Huffington Post is one of the few that includes "Twitter This" with every post.
- Bottom line? The easier it is for blogs to give readers the ability to share how THEY want to share, the better it is for the content providers and the content consumers.
