Got another robocall tonight from Wendy Malik promoting a teletown hall with the CEO of the Humane Society of the United States ! It is an interesting way to promote a book by the CEO called the Bond.
Wayne Pacelle's new book, The Bond: Our Kinship with Animals, Our Call to Defend Them, examines our contradictory attitudes towards animals and points to a better way forward. CEO and president of the nation’s largest animal protection organization, Pacelle has helped to bring animal protection from the margins to the mainstream during his quarter century of work in the field, which includes 17 years at HSUS.
While a love the work that the group does on behalf of animals, I don't think robocalling members and inviting them to a tele town hall marketing meeting to sell a book is the best way to get members to A) buy the book and B) donate to the Humane Society.
But that is just me.
Here is the audio from the robocall and then the teletown hall.
