MoveOn sends the following email and essentially begs me to start calling OTHER people so "Bob Webb in MI" can take me off his list!
I don't know about the psychology of this, but I guess they know what they are doing. Notice, as well, the numbers of volunteers that they are looking for in my town. It is clear that that some of my neighbors are helping out, if only I could as well !
I know that there is some literature out there that states that the best way to get people to vote is to send them a letter with the names of all their immediate neighbors and telling them that they voted and that they should as well.
I know that, at least, I opened the email rather than deleting it.
