Would be nice if AG's would enforce robo call laws against politicians as well. Simillar laws exist in states such as CA, NJ, IN, MN and SC. In almost every case, the AG's in those states ignore the law (let's say they simply turn a "blind eye") when it comes to politicians and political calls.
The only exception is Steve Carter (now retired) in Indiana.
Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says seven companies have settled with the state for making prerecorded telemarketing calls.
The North Dakota Do-Not-Call law says callers cannot use "robo-call" machines unless a live operator first obtains the subscriber's consent before a prerecorded message is delivered.
Stenehjem says the companies are based in California, Kansas, Ohio and Florida. The settlements ranged from $1,000 to $5,000.
